Fannin County Animal Control had 18 dogs in their care as of Friday morning, April 15.
This past week, eight dogs were taken in while four were adopted.
Four dogs were also reclaimed by owners.
Volunteers are welcome to visit, walk and play with dogs at the facility during business hours.
The animal control facility is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
After those hours, officers follow up on community concerns and respond to stray calls.
To reclaim dogs, owners must show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination or pay to have them vaccinated.
More information on any of the dogs at the facility is available by giving them a call at 706-632-3845 or by visiting www.fannincountyga.com/animal-control/.
Anyone who would like to make donations for improvements to the facility or for the care of the dogs may do so by visiting that website as well.
Animal Control is located at 1001 Fannin Industrial Park in Blue Ridge.
