Cash is quite a bundle of energy, and he would do well in a home with a cat playmate and a lot of room to run around. Cash loves attention and enjoys human companionship.     Dog owners are nearly four times more likely than non-dog owners to meet their daily physical activity needs according to a 2019 study and, with the weather getting warmer, now is the perfect time to adopt a dog from Fannin Animal Control and get moving.

    Five dogs were taken in this past week, and three dogs were adopted. Two pups were reclaimed by their owners, and Homeward Bound Pet Rescue took one.

    The animal control facility, located at 1001 Fannin Industrial Park in Blue Ridge,  is open to the public from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m Mondays through Saturdays.

    Volunteers are able to visit, walk and play with the dogs at the facility during these hours. After business hours, officers respond to stray calls and follow up on community concerns.

    Owners must show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination or pay to have them vaccinated to reclaim their dog.
