Emmie’s favorite pastime is watching birds from the comfort of a screened porch. She gets along purrfectly with other felines and is happy to greet new people.     Having a “ruff” week? It’s proven that pets can help relieve stress and anxiety, and Fannin County Animal Control has just the trick!

    This past week, six dogs were taken in, while five were adopted out, and three were reclaimed by their owners.

    Homeward Bound Pet Rescue took two dogs as well.

    Volunteers are welcome to visit, walk and play with dogs at the facility during business hours.

    The animal control facility is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    After those hours, officers follow up on community concerns and respond to stray calls.
