Adopt-A-Pet

“The more the merrier,” Fannin County Animal Control Interim Manager J.R. Cornett said inviting folks to volunteer at the facility.

Volunteers are welcome to visit, walk and play with dogs at the facility during business hours.

The animal control facility is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

After those hours, officers follow up on community concerns and respond to stray calls.

This past week, two dogs were taken in while one was adopted, and two more were reclaimed. No rescues took any dogs this week.

More information on any of the dogs at the facility is available by giving them a call at 706-632-3845 or visiting www.petfinder.com.

Anyone who would like to make donations for improvements to the facility or for the care of the dogs may do so by visiting www.fannincountyga.com/animal-control/.

Animal Control is located at 1001 Fannin Industrial Park in Blue Ridge.
