Stockings are hung by the kennels with care for treats to be given to the dogs at Fannin County Animal Control, so anyone who would like to donate treats are welcomed and appreciated.
This past week, 13 dogs were taken in, and three were reclaimed.
Homeward Bound Pet Rescue took two dogs, and Katz N Dawgs Rescue took one.
Volunteers are welcome to visit, walk and play with dogs at the facility during business hours.
The animal control facility is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
After those hours, officers follow up on community concerns and respond to stray calls.
More information on any of the dogs at the facility is available by giving them a call at 706-632-3845 or visiting www.petfinder.com.
Anyone who would like to make donations for improvements to the facility or for the care of the dogs may do so by visiting www.fannincountyga.com/animal-control/.
Animal Control is located at 1001 Fannin Industrial Park in Blue Ridge.
