    The need for volunteers at Fannin County Animal Control is great.

    Volunteers are welcome to visit, walk and play with dogs at the facility during business hours, and any donations are always appreciated.

    All dogs taken to Animal Control are housed at the facility until being reclaimed or adopted.

    This past week, 10 dogs were taken in and three were reclaimed. No dogs were adopted in the past week, and no rescues took any.

    The Animal Control facility is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    After those hours, officers follow up on community concerns and respond to stray calls.
