    Fannin County Animal Control has all kinds of different dogs available for adoption.

    All dogs taken to Animal Control are housed at the facility until being reclaimed or adopted.

    This past week, eight dogs were taken in, and three were reclaimed. No dogs were adopted.

    Homeward Bound Pet Rescue took one dog; Southern Journey Rescue took five, and Greenville Humane Society took one.

    Volunteers are welcome to visit, walk and play with dogs at the facility during business hours.

    The Animal Control facility is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    After those hours, officers follow up on community concerns and respond to stray calls.
