Sunshine and blue skies are the perfect combination, especially when there’s a furry, four-legged canine in the mix.

Fannin County Animal Control has several dogs at the facility that would make a great summertime-advtenture companion.

The featured pooch this week is a male, Beagle/Lab mix shown with Animal Control Interim Manager J.R. Cornett.

This boy enjoys being outside playing or laying down getting lovings.

He was surrendered by his owner May 19.

Ready to add him to your family? Call Animal Control at 706-632-3845, and use his intake number 164-21.

All dogs taken to Animal Control are housed at the facility until being reclaimed or adopted.

This past week, six dogs were taken in, and one was reclaimed.

Katz & Dogs Rescue took one, and Another Chance Rescue took eight dogs.

Volunteers are welcome to visit, walk and play with dogs at the facility during business hours.

The Animal Control facility is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

After those hours, officers follow up on community concerns and respond to stray calls.

More information on any of the dogs at the facility is available by giving them a call.

Animal Control is located at 1001 Fannin Industrial Park in Blue Ridge.
