    All dogs taken to Animal Control are housed at the facility until being reclaimed or adopted.

    This past week, 17 dogs were taken in. One dog was adopted and zero were reclaimed.

    Katz & Dogs Rescue took one dog, Humane Society of Blue Ridge took two, Homeward Bound took one, and Angels Among Us also took one.

    Volunteers are welcome to visit, walk and play with dogs at the facility during business hours.

    The Animal Control facility is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    After those hours, officers follow up on community concerns and respond to stray calls.
