This week, every dog photographed was surrendered by their owner.
Additionally, a suggestions box has been added to the lobby of Fannin County Animal Control in which visitors are able to give their feedback.
Cooper, the male, Lab mix shown with Animal Control Officer J.R. Cornett is this week’s featured Pooch of the Week.
He is medium in size and has a short, reddish-blonde coat.
Cooper is very well behaved and loves to play.

All dogs taken to Animal Control are housed at the facility until they are reclaimed or adopted.
This past week, four dogs were taken in, and one was adopted.
Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta took one dog, Barkville Rescue took one, Homeward Bound Pet Rescue took two dogs, and Hearts and Tails Rescue took one.
Volunteers are welcome to visit, walk and play with dogs at the facility during business hours.
The Animal Control facility is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
After those hours, officers follow up on community concerns and respond to stray calls.
