Accused child molester held without bond

Charles David Rodgers, 71, of 911 Marble City Road, Mineral Bluff, is being held without bond in the Fannin County Adult Detention Center following his arrest on multiple child molestation allegations.

Rodgers was arrested Monday, September 20, by Fannin County Deputy Sheriff Jessie Godsey on warrants sworn out by Investigator John Arp.

Those warrants charge Rodgers with two counts of aggravated child molestation; two counts of child molestation, aggravated; and one count of enticing a child for indecent purposes. All are felonies.

Following his arrest, Rodgers was denied bond by Chief Magistrate Judge Brian Jones.

The victim is a female child under 16 years of age. Arp confirmed that the victim did know her attacker and that the alleged crimes took place on more than one occasion.
