William C. Stewart, age 50, of Blue Ridge, went home to our Lord October 31, 2021.

He was a beloved husband and a beloved father, who will remain in our hearts, as love, light and pride for the rest our living days. He was also the proprietor of Snake Nation Landscapes and Carpentry for 24 years, taking pride in his work and clients, appreciating each and every one. William was also a member of O’Zion Baptist Church.

William is survived by his wife, Cynthia Stewart, of Blue Ridge; children, Ashley and Michael Cochran, Kimmi Stewart, Dawson Stewart and Ava Ivey; he is the cherished Pop-pop to Barron (Bear) and Caroline Hamilton; brother, Mike Penwell; sister, Lynn Hogan; lots of nieces and nephews; and  aunts and cousins.

William was preceded in death by his father, “Bo” Stewart; mother, Mary L. Stewart; brother, James Penwell; and great-nephew, Adrian “Dewey” Derreberry.

The family celebrated our beloved patriarch privately. In lieu of flowers, the family hopes for generous donations to the Fannin County Family Connection Food Pantry and/or The Fannin County Empty Stocking Fund.

Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.

The Akins Funeral Home, of Blue Ridge, was in charge of the arrangements.
