Jean Augusta Woodruff, age 90, of Canton, Georgia, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Heritage Hospice.

She was born in West Oneonta, New York, October 7, 1930, to the late John Augustus MaGee and late Pearl Emeretta Sickler.

Mrs. Woodruff was a member of Beulah Chapter 21, Order of the Eastern Star, served as both president and secretary of the Copperhill Iris Garden Club and served as a volunteer for both the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway and the Whitewater Olympics. She was a homemaker and a member of Saint Clement’s, in Canton, and a former member of Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church (Anglican), in Blue Ridge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Woodruff; and son, Craig Pollard.

Survivors include daughters, Julie Shannon and Cheryl Lewkowicz; stepdaughter, Sandra Woodruff; son, Clark Pollard; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A private family service will be held at The Georgia National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Woodruff to the humane society of your choice or to any of the fine charities involved in operating food banks for the benefit of needy families in Fannin or Cherokee Counties.
