Edwin Watson

Ralph Edwin Watson, age 71, of Epworth, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

He was born June 22, 1950, to the late Delmar A. Watson and Lois Keener Watson.

Edwin was a member of Hipps Chapel Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, George Watson and Larry Watson, of Epworth.

Edwin is survived by sons, Billy Joe Watson and Bobby Joe Watson; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Jeanie Watson, of Epworth; sister, Martha Breeden, of Blue Ridge; sister-in-law, Ellene Watson, of Epworth; special friends, Becky McClure and Richie; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, September 24, 2021, at 1 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Denny Hawkins and Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Music was provided by Brenda Patterson, Carol Watkins and Althea Davenport.

Interment followed in the Helping Hand Fellowship Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Billy Joe Postell, Arnold Postell, Jason Postell, Johnson Foster, Carl Patterson, Zeke McPherson and Eulis Davis.
