Charles “Chuck” H. Cook Jr., 65, passed away at Fannin Regional Hospital November 1, 2021.

Chuck was proceeded in death by his parents, Charles H. Cook and Betty Jean Greene Cook. Chuck was raised in the Marines as his father served in the United States Marine Corps as a C130 Crew Chief and a Chief Warrant Officer. Chuck studied at the University of Georgia, which he loved and was a member of the Delta Chi Fraternity. He was an avid Georgia fan and loved to talk about the Dawgs to anyone who would listen. He was also a great golfer who enjoyed playing the fairways. Mr. Cook was employed with Fannin County and worked for the Fannin County Board of Elections. Chuck was a valued member of the Blue Ridge Kiwanis Club, where he enjoyed fellowship and community service. Chuck also was a member of the McCaysville First Baptist Church.

Chuck is survived by the following cousins and their families: John Mark Greene Jr. (Nancy) and family members, Tony Piccalo, Troy Piccalo, Breanna Greene DeMunno, Kaden Rockwood and Taye French, Beth Greene Towe (Tim) and family members, Timothy Towe and Emilee Towe, and Sherry Greene Loadholtz (Tex) and family members, Ian Flowe, Hannah Loadholtz Miller and Cole Loadholtz. Chuck is also survived by many dear friends whom he loved and cherished.

The family would like to thank the employees of the Fannin County Courthouse, the Georgia Cancer Specialists and the medical staff of Fannin Regional Hospital for the endearing love and support given to Chuck during the past several months.
