Carolyn Anderson

Carolyn Mae Anderson, age 81, of Mineral Bluff passed away, September 10, 2022 at Pruitt Healthcare of Blue Ridge.

Carolyn was born  October 18, 1946, in Copperhill to the late James Edward Curtis and Lona Mae Boggs Curtis.

She worked for 23 years as a nursing aid at Pruitt Healthcare. Carolyn was of Christian faith as a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church in Grassy Creek.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tony Anderson; brothers, Wayne Curtis, Wade Curtis, Bobby Curtis, Bud “Jr.” Curtis, James Curtis, and Charles Curtis; and sisters, Marilyn Stillwell and Earlene Curtis.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Jackie Lynn Anderson; brother,  the Rev. Grady Max Curtis; several grandchildren and great- grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel at Akins-Cobb with the Rev. Paul Morgan officiating. Music was provided by Cindy Call and Amanda Hughes.

Interment followed in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Wolf Creek. Pallbearers were Guinn Curtis, Donnie Millsaps, Bobby Joe Plush, Raymond Plush, Michael Hughes, and Rusty Call. Steve Curtis was selected to serve as an honorary pallbearer.
