This past week, five dogs were taken in, and two were reclaimed.

Tri State Pet Rescue and Homeward Bound Pet Rescue each took one dog.

Volunteers are welcome to visit, walk and play with dogs at the facility during business hours.

The Animal Control facility is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

After those hours, officers follow up on community concerns and respond to stray calls.

Animal Control volunteers have a Facebook page in which they post updates on new intakes and adoptions, the site can be viewed by searching in Facebook “Fannin County Animal Control Volunteers.”

More information on any of the dogs at the facility is available by giving them a call.
