The Fannin County Rebels won big over Dade County Varsity Wolverines 10-0 Tuesday, April 8.
The Rebels got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Mason McDaniel singled to center field, and Hudson York walked, each scoring one run.
A single by Colton Gray, a double by Paul Stroemer Jr., and a single by Gavin Davis helped Fannin extend their early lead in the second which was followed by a single by Elijah Weaver, a double by Gray, and a single by Stroemer Jr. in the third.
Bristol Hughes helped to earn the win for the Rebels. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out three and walking none.
Kaden Davis threw one inning of scoreless ball for Fannin in relief. The pitcher allowed one hit, striking out one and walking none.
Fannin County piled up nine hits in the game. Gray drove the middle of the lineup, leading the Rebels with three runs batted in. The number three hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Weaver, Gray, and Stroemer Jr. each collected two hits.
Weaver and Carson Callihan each stole multiple bases and the team totaled five stolen bases in the game.
