Gina Pickelsimer

Denny Lugenia (Gina) Pickelsimer, age 74, of Morganton, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Gina was born in Blue Ridge, June 9, 1948, to the late Kenith Jackson Pickelsimer Sr., and Cora Elizabeth Scroggs Pickelsimer Payne.

She worked many years for the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services as well as a licensed practical nurse.

Gina was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Kenith Pickelsimer Jr.

Survivors include her wife, Jan Seymour; her sister, Frances (Bill) Reilly; brothers, Van (Robin) Pickelsimer and Don (Darlene) Pickelsimer; sister in-law, Neaomi Pickelsimer; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Gina was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed being outdoors, bird watching, planting flowers, lawn work and being in nature. She loved her family unconditionally and was always there for them.

A gathering to celebrate Gina’s life was Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Upper Wilscot Cemetery at 3 p.m. with the Reverend Maureen Roe officiating.
