The Fannin County Lady Rebels defeated Gilmer County, 54-51, in the rivalry game Saturday, December 13, as Reese Lewis scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
The Lady Rebels had a strong first half, leading 23-20 at halftime and never looked back, securing the victory.
Albany Cole and Izzie Jabaley each hit multiple three-pointers for Fannin. The Lady Rebels rebounded the ball well, collecting 27 rebounds. Lewis led the team with 10 rebounds. They also passed the ball well with 11 assists on 20 made baskets and blocked three shots in the game.
Scorers for the Lady Rebels were Lewis with 15 points, Avi Ethington adding 11 points, Jabaley putting in 9 points, Maggie Ledford scoring 8 points, Cole with 7 points, and Toccoa Hampton putting in 4 points.
