Franklin R. “Randy” Queen, age 65, of Blue Ridge, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021, at his home.

He was born on January 17, 1956, in Atlanta, to the late Wilburn Queen and Joyce Poss Queen. Randy had worked for Fannin County Sheriff’s Office, Blue Ridge Police Department and McCaysville Police Department. He served in the United States Army. Randy loved photography and had a Gospel Tots puppet ministry.

Survivors are his son and daughter-in-law, Chris Queen and Alison; daughter, Lisa Wilson; grandchildren, Emily, Bradley, Jacob, Micheal, Tyler and Jorga; brother, Edward Brown; and sister and brother-in-law, “Gail” Rebecca Cross (Hansel).

Graveside services were conducted Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 12:30 p.m. from the New River Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Brett Curtis. Military Honors were provided by the United States Army. Music was by Ashe Johnson. Pallbearers were Michael Wilson, Bradley Queen, Tyler Wilson, Jacob Queen and Josh Cross. The family received friends at the funeral home Wednesday, October 13, 2021, from 10 a.m. until noon.
