Bobby Jewel Baliles, age 71, of Turtletown, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021, at Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge.

He was born July 28, 1950, in Gastonia, North Carolina, to the late Ralph and Maggie Prince. Bobby retired from Johnson Coca Cola and worked part time for Nicholson’s General Store. He is preceded in death by his parents; adopted parents, Wade and Mildred Baliles; brothers, Cecil Prince, Leonard Prince, Beecher Prince and Hubert Prince; and sister, Helen Graham.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Wanda “Susie” Baliles of Turtletown; sons, David Baliles and Douglas Baliles of Turtletown; grandaughter, Abigail Baliles; sister, Ruby Blackwell, of Banner Elk, North Carolina; brother, Ronnie Baliles, of Turtletown; and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 2 p.m. from the Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jonathan Smith and Rev. Doug Howard officiating. Music was provided by Ed Vest. Pallbearers were Chris Prince, Bruce Prince, Chad Boring, Ricky Boring, Justin Beck and Lee Nicholson. Honorary pallbearers were Doug Prince, Mitchell Prince, Steve Boring, Josh Loudermilk, William Patterson, Danny Patterson, Pearlie Mashburn and Jerry Loudermilk.
