Alice Griffith

Alice Elanor Nicholson Griffith, age 84, of Turtletown, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Life Care Center of Copper Basin after an extended illness.

She was born January 2, 1939, in Turtletown, to the late Clyde Nicholson and Elsalee Johnson Nicholson.

She was a member of Turtletown Church of God of Prophecy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gilbert Nicholson, Roger Nicholson and Dennis Nicholson; and sisters, Debbie Nicholson Barnett, Lois Nicholson, and Carolyn Nicholson Baine.

Alice is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bobby Griffith; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Gary Moore; sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Andrea Griffith, Mike Griffith, Jerry and Patricia Griffith, and Gary Griffith; grandchildren, Cody (Katie) Jones, Nicole Jones-Tinker (Saylor), Michelle Griffith, Kordell Griffith, and Brian Griffith; sister, Rita Nicholson Eskew; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 2 p.m., from the Akins-Cobb Copperhill Chapel with the Rev. Sam Morrow officiating.

Music was provided by Brian Nicholson. Interment followed in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Cody Jones, Kordell Griffith, Brian Griffith, Saylor Tinker, and Gary Moore.
