Anna Lou Wilson, age 88, of Morganton, passed away Friday, March 25, 2022, in Blue Ridge.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Gilmer County, Georgia, August 14, 1933. She worked as the bookkeeper/accountant for Davis Carpet Mill and Blue Ridge Carpet Mill for many years. She then continued her career as the bookkeeper/accountant for North Georgia Community Action as well as serving as their Director, before her retirement following 25 years of service. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Thelma Jarrett; her husband, Estus Wilson; sister, Ann Jarrett Taylor (Jim); nephews, Jarrett Taylor, Steve Taylor and Mark Humphrey; niece, Mary Taylor Sharrock; and brother-in-law, S.G. Humphrey.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her sisters, Sue Jarrett Humphrey and Gloria Jarrett (James) Holloway; nephews, David (Terry) Humphrey and Lee (Anita) Humphrey; nieces, Nancy Taylor (Alan) Kubiak and Cindy Taylor (Max) McCarley; great-nieces, Lindsey Humphrey (Jack) Roper and Holland Humphrey; great-nephews, Danny (Terry) Wilson, Ryan (Haley) Humphrey, Fred Sharrock, Michael Taylor, Derrick McCarley, Matthew McCarley, Trevor McCarley, Scott Kubiak, Mark Kubiak and Kyle Panter; and Mrs. Wilson’s caregiver, Mary Fox.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, March 28, 2022, at 2 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Robert Craig officiating. Music was provided by Greg Norton and Jeanette Rismiller. Pallbearers were Ryan Humphrey, Jack Roper, Paul Cochran, Danny Wilson, Kyle Panter and Lee Humphrey.
Interment followed in Northcutt Baptist Church Cemetery.
