Have some extra free time? Consider volunteering at Fannin County Animal Control as the dogs love to be walked, pet on and let loose in the yard.

All dogs taken to Animal Control are housed at the facility until being reclaimed or adopted.

This past week, three dogs were taken in, one was reclaimed, and another was adopted.

No rescues took any dogs this week.

The Animal Control facility is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

After those hours, officers follow up on community concerns and respond to stray calls.

More information on any of the dogs at the facility is available by giving them a call at 706-632-3845 or visiting www.petfinder.com.

Anyone who would like to make donations for improvements to the facility or for the care of the dogs may do so by visiting www.fannincountyga.com/animal-control/.

Animal Control is located at 1001 Fannin Industrial Park in Blue Ridge.
