Lady Rebels win pair of matches over Gilmer

The Fannin County High School girls tennis team traveled to Gilmer County Wednesday, March 4, and came home winners 5-0 over the Lady Bobcats. The Lady Rebels hosted Gilmer County March 5 and won 3-2.

At Gilmer, number one single Sadie Patton easily won her match in two sets 6-0 and 6-0. Number two single Maddie Schueneman won two sets 6-0 and 6-1 to take home the win. Number three single Krishvee Panchel won her match in two sets 6-3 and 7-5.

In doubles, the number one seed team of Taber Pass and Kendall Clore won their match in two sets 6-1 and 6-0. Number two doubles Gracie Tutterown and Katelyn Clark won 6-3 and 6-2 to top their opponents.

Exhibition matches were played and doubles partners Maddie Partin and Mackenzie Duvall won their exhibition match 8-3. Aiden Kimsey, Riley McDaniel, Madden Deeter, Liliana Ruiz, and Izzy Mulcare also played in exhibition matches.

At home against Gilmer, number one single Schueneman won 8-3, number two single Panchal won 8-0 and number three single Pass won 8-3.

Doubles Kendall Clore and Maddie Partin, and Gracie Tutterow, and Katelyn Clark/Izzy Mulcare each came up a little short in their Pro 8’s, but played well, Head Coach Suzianne Pass said.
