Cole paces fourth quarter comeback

Albany Cole hit three, three point shots in the fourth quarter to pace the Fannin County Lady Rebels comeback win  over visiting Gordon Lee Tuesday, January 6.

Cole scored 14 points to set the pace for the victory, joined by Reese Lewis who scored 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

The Lady Rebels captured the win despite trailing 22-19 at halftime.

Trailing 38-30 in the second half, Fannin County went on a 19-point run to take the lead in the fourth quarter.

Cole poured in 11 points in the fourth quarter as the Lady Rebels outscored Gordon Lee 22-7.

Maggie Ledford joined Cole as top scorer with 14 points. Ledford and Izzie Jabaley also hit multiple threes.

The Lady Rebels controlled the paint, grabbing 36 rebounds. They passed the ball well with 14 assists on 19 made baskets. Jabaley led the team with five assists. Fannin stood tall, blocking five shots in the game. Lewis led the team with three blocks.

Adding to point totals by Cole, Ledford and Lewis were Jabaley who put in six points, Toccoa Hampton who had four points and Brooklyn Owenby and Avi Ethington who had two points each.
