  • Homestead Hospice of Blairsville presented Earlyne Simmons with a Quilt of Valor for her service in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era Friday, January 31. The ceremony was held at the Fannin County Senior Center, where she was surrounded by her family; son and daughter-in-law, Shaun and Tara Simmons; grandchildren, Della, Shaun Jr. and Michael; and relative, Debbie Simmons.
