Frontcakas banished
Thomas Andrew Frontcakas has 30 days to get out of the Appalachian and Enotah judicial circuits and never come back or face the next 180 days in jail.
Frontcakas is banished from the two local judicial circuits as the result of his guilty plea entered in Fannin County Superior Court last week. The circuits include Fannin and Union counties.
Frontcakas faced 16 felony and 17 misdemeanor charges in connection with throwing construction nails/screws in parking areas designated for Georgia State Patrol and Blue Ridge Police Department vehicles.
Investigator Lieutenant R.T. Henry of the Blue Ridge Police Department took the charges against Frontcakas for incidents that occurred between December 24, 2024, and July 4, 2025.
Besides banishment, District Attorney Frank Wood III said Frontcakas received 10 years probation, was ordered to pay a $2,000 fine, $145 in restitution to the Georgia State Patrol, is to have no alcohol or drug use, and will plead guilty to a charge of Driving Under the Influence in Union County.
Wood explained the probation comes with a “drop dead” clause that states if the probation is violated in any way Frontcakas will serve 180 days in jail.
Frontcakas had been in jail for 18 days, starting with his arrest July 6 when he was denied bond.
Chief Superior Court Judge Brenda Weaver accepted the plea deal last Thursday, July 24.
In addition, Frontcakas, 63, of a Suches address, wrote a two page letter of apology to law enforcement officers.
In that letter, he states, “I never wanted to be on the wrong side of the law...Not only am I sorry for what I did, but I’m ashamed as well...I have never been in trouble like this in my life.”
He cited a mental condition for his actions, but wrote, “It’s not an excuse.” He thanked the court and legal system, writing, “I will somehow make things right between us.”
