Ronnie Terry Reid, age 76, of Blue Ridge, died Wednesday, September 8, 2021, in Blue Ridge.

He was born February 23, 1945, in Blue Ridge to Jack Parker and Betty Lou Phillips Reid. Ronnie worked for many years and retired from the Tennessee Chemical Company. He then lived at Dutton’s Assisted Living for several years. He loved going to various sporting events at West Fannin and Fannin High School and kept the stats for many events. He was a member of the Barnes Chapel Baptist Church. Ronnie loved fishing and loved to watch ball games on television. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Toney; father, Jack Reid; and his step-father, Ernest Toney.

He is survived by his aunts, Bonita Patterson and Billie Bennett; his uncle, Donald Phillips; and many cousins.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 2 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Chapel in Blue Ridge with Rev. Harold Weeks officiating. The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Ricky Patterson, Speck Callihan, Larry Sparks, Ray Sparks, Donald Phillips, and Ryan Campbell.

Interment followed in the Barnes Chapel Church Cemetery.
