Archie Wilson

Jerry “Archie” Reynolds Wilson, age 73, of Blue Ridge passed Tuesday, August 30, 2022.

Archie was born November 23, 1948, in Ellijay, Georgia, to his late parents, William Harvey and Rebecca Angeline (Dale) Wilson.

Archie was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Morganton,  Georgia. Archie loved being in the outdoors.

Archie was preceded in death by his son, James Andrew Wilson.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Mary Wright Wilson of the home in Blue Ridge; children, Mitchell (Pamela) Wilson, Scarlet (Jason) Revie, Trinity Lovvorn; grandchildren Michael Wilson, Zoie Wilson, Caitlin Wilson, Cole Wilson, Chase Lovvorn, Carson Revie; three great-grandchildren, sisters, Cora Strickland, Ellijay, Shirley Johnson, Chatsworth, Georgia.

The family received friends Saturday, September 3, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral service followed at 1 p.m. at Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Taylor officiating.

Special music was performed by Margaret Crawford.

Interment was in Flat Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with immediate family. Chase Lovvorn, Carson Revie, Jason Revie, Michael Wilson, Cole Wilson, Tracy Wilson, Mayford Wilson, and Ervin Ensley all served as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers were members of Bethel United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bethel United Methodist Church in Morganton at P.O. Box 674, Morganton, Georgia, 30560, in memory of Archie.
