Ruth Ware, age 94, of Mineral Bluff, passed away September 1, 2021, at her home. She was born September 1, 1927, in Mineral Bluff.

Ruth was a strong, Christian lady who loved God and his teachings, and also loved gardening, growing veggies and beautiful flowers. Ruth loved cooking for her family. Her children and grandchildren were her most precious joy. Ruth was one of 12 children born to Claude and Lou Arp Hawkins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Ware; parents, Claude and Lou Hawkins; sons, Jerry, Edward and E.L. Ware; and grandchildren, Tammy Arp, Sandy Frantz and Christopher Cole.

She is survived by daughter, Sue (Lonnie) Cole; son, Jimmy Ware; grandchildren, Tony (Jane) Ware, Russell (Amanda) Ware, Stacy Cole, Shaun Cole, Jessica (Nick) Passoro, Nathaniel (Brittany) Ware, Julia (Bob) Ballinger; brother, Lee Hawkins; sister, Alice Champion; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family received friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Sunday, September 5, 2021, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, September 5, 2021, at 3 p.m. at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home, with Minister Paul Ray Morgan officiating. Music was provided by Paul and Linda Morgan.

Interment followed in New Liberty Cemetery in Mineral Bluff.

The following served as pallbearers; Russell Ware, Stacy Cole, Shaun Cole, Travis Arp, Scott Rogers, and Charlie Helton. Honorary pallbearers were; Hunter Barnes, Anthony Krupinski, Jeff McCay, Ronnie Ware, Ethridge Ware, Leroy, Bob, Ben, Jerry, James and Raymond Hawkins, Jeff and Eddie Helton and Steve Myres.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge.
