Wednesday, April 13, 2022, Margaret Poe Davis, age 98, of Mineral Bluff, passed away at her home.

Margaret was born December 23, 1923, in Murphy, North Carolina, to the late James Poe and Jessie Davis Poe. She was the oldest member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, a devout Christian who loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She enjoyed canning, making biscuits and taking care of her family. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Lawrence Davis; sons, Gary Davis and Ike Davis; daughter-in-law, Inez Davis; and son-in-law, Wendell Land.

Survivors include daughters, Kathleen (Buddy) Pittman, Charolette Land, Janet (Gerald) Clore, Sharon Wilson and Patsy (Steve) Wood; sons Wendell Davis and Randall (Tammy) Davis, Weldon (Judy) Davis and Sir John Davis; special adopted kids, Tammy and Tony Cochran; 21 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a host of friends and loved ones also survive.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 18, 2022, at 2 p.m. from the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Max Curtis, Rev. Will Davis and Rev. Buddy Pittman officiating. Music was provided by David and Lucretia Falls,  and Lynda and Ronald Hyde.

Interment followed in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Paul Adams officiating. Pallbearers were Joseph Annis, Jackson Davis, Toby Davis, Logan Davis, Tristen Davis, Kasch Brucker, William Powell, Luke Davis, Jake Davis, Nathaniel Woods and Rile Thomas. Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family received friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home, of Blue Ridge, Monday, April 18, 2022, from noon until  2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Davis be made to Pruitt Health Hospice, 6050 Appalachian Highway, Blue Ridge, Georgia  30513 or Pleasant Hill Cemetery Fund C/O Randall Davis at 1717 Hardscrabble Road, Mineral Bluff, Georgia 30559.
