Mr. Larry Keith Teague, “Mountain Man,” passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021.

He was born January 12, 1950, to Edna and Norman Teague, who have preceded him in death. Mr. Teague grew up in Blairsville, Georgia. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling to the mountains. Mr. Teague cherished spending time with his family and friends. He served the city of Mansfield, Georgia, for many years performing several roles to maintain the city. Mr. Teague was also an accomplished brick mason. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Teague was also preceded in death by his wife Debra Teague; and his siblings, Mary Harkins, Claudine King, Ray Teague, Rufus Teague, Paul Teague and Junior Teague.

Mr. Teague is survived by his daughters, Rachel Teague, of Blairsville, and Stefanie Holmes (Michael), of Social Circle, Georgia; his grandchildren, Heather Bruce (Nicholas), Joseph Phillips, Israel Davis, Jacob Davis, Michael Holmes Jr. and Mason Holmes; his two great-grandchildren, Jaxson Bruce and Lincoln Bruce; his sisters, Betty Jo King and Sherry Gibbs; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Teague were held Sunday, December 19, 2021, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home. The family received friends from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service.

J.C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home, TE Davis Funeral Services, located at 2157 East Street South East, in Covington, Georgia, was entrusted with the arrangements.
