Joanne Barfield

Mrs. Joanne Carter Barfield passed away July 30, 2022.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 13, at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, Historic Marietta Chapel.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Joanne was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Hylas Carter; her husband, Norman Kelly Barfield; and her son, David Michael Barfield.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia or Trish Barfield; her grandson, Michael Barfield; and her great grandchildren, Carter and Chloe Barfield. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Joanne was a Cobb County native, moved to Blue Ridge after Norman retired, coming back to Cobb County in 2018. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Marietta.

She was loved by many old friends, and many special new friends since her move back to Cobb County.
