David Boiani

Mr. David Joseph Boiani, age 84, of Walnut Hills Drive, Mineral Bluff, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021, at his home following an extended illness.

He was born August 26, 1936, in Newport, Rhode Island, to the late Itermo Paul and Dora (Morin) Boiani. Mr. Boiani has lived here for the past 15 years, having moved here from Little Compton, Rhode Island. He was an active saltwater fisherman, a former member of the Newport County Saltwater Fishing Club where he won numerous awards and trophies. He loved gardening and working outside. Mr. Boiani was of the Catholic Faith and a member of Saint Anthony’s Church.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Bonnie (Judge) Boiani of Mineral Bluff; two children, David and wife, Donna, of Florida, and Lisa Boiani and Bill Cabral, of Massachusetts; four grandchildren, Jennifer Burgo and Lorelie Boiani, of Rhode Island, Kyle Boiani, of Massachusetts, and Kristen Boiani, of California; and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Mountain View Funeral Home, of Blairsville, Georgia, is in charge of the arrangements.
