Cylma Mull Hemphill, age 95, of Blue Ridge, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.

Cylma was born September 23, 1926, in Epworth to the late Horace Mull and Minnie Barnes Mull. She worked as the executive administrative assistant to the plant manager at the Tennessee Copper Company. Cylma was of Christian faith as a member of the First Baptist Church of Blue Ridge. Cylma was a direct descendent of American pioneer, Daniel Boone. She loved to read, was an avid square dancer, and enjoyed traveling with her family.

Cylma is preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Steve Eaton; and siblings, Ernest Mull, Vesta Mull, Della Mull, Claude Mull, Frank Mull, Clyde Mull, Evangeline Cole, Marjorie Mull and Ruth Butt.

She is survived by her daughters, Robin (Wes) Harris of Marietta, Georgia and Jan Eaton of Blue Ridge; grandchildren, Michael Eaton, Tate (Casey) Eaton, Ryan Harris, and Kyle (Annalaissa) Harris; great-grandchildren, Bryson Eaton, Brady Eaton, Logan Eaton and Cassidy Harris; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 1 p.m. from the chapel at Akins-Cobb with Min. Butch Jones officiating. Interment followed in the Chastain Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers were Michael Eaton, Tate Eaton, Ryan Harris, Kyle Harris, Charles Cole and Bill Butt.
