Charles Dover

Charles David Dover, age 82, of Ellijay, Georgia, passed Tuesday, April 12, 2022.

Charles was born April 11, 1940, in Blue Ridge, to his late parents Willie David and Hazel Mae Bell (Brown) Dover. Charles enjoyed going to church and had a love for music. Charles was a graduate of Murray High School in 1959. Charles is preceded in death by his sister Wanda Freeman.

Survivors include children, Chris (Heather) Dover, Dustin (Shenna) Dover, Linda Hayes and Elizabeth Newell; grandchildren, John Ladehoff, Kansas (Hattie) Dover, Tanya (Eris) Dover and David Alvarez; great-grandchild, Keara Ladehoff; siblings, Lois Blassingame and Quilla (G.L) Ledford.

The family received friends Wednesday, April 13, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service was held Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Richards officiating.

Interment followed at New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery, in Blue Ridge, with Jake Knight, John Colwell, Austin Quarles, Johnny Fowler, Paul Hood and Greg Ledford all serving as pallbearers.

Flowers are being accepted, or donations may be made to the New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in Charles’s memory.
