Mrs. Carolyn Nadine Atkins, age 89, of Blue Ridge, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Manor Lake Assisted Living in Ellijay, Georgia.

Mrs. Atkins was born March 18, 1932, in Havana, Florida, to the late J.H. Williams Jr. and Ruby Vickers Williams. She attended the First Baptist Church of Blairsville.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Atkins is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie David Atkins; daughter, Pam Carroll; and sisters, Martha Lee Merritt and Barbara Yarbrough.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ronda and Mike Hoover, of Mineral Bluff; grandchildren, Brad (Leigh) Hoover, of Ellijay, Chad Hoover, of Roswell, Georgia, Nick Hoover, of Denver, Colorado, Stephanie (Rich) Blow, of Daphne, Alabama, and Ryan (Rebecca) Carroll, of Kingsville, Maryland; great-grandchildren, Anna Hoover, Liam Hoover, Henry Hoover, Howell Hoover, Trice Blow, Johnathon Blow, Grace Carroll and Lily Carroll; and siblings, Hershel Williams, of Tallahassee, Florida, Johnny Williams, of Quincy, Florida, Norman (Barbara) Williams, of Wakulla, Florida, Betty Kalfas, of Tallahassee, and Sandra Estes, of Tallahassee.

A private service was held where Mrs. Atkins was laid to rest next to her husband at Crestlawn Cemetery in Copperhill.
