Charles “Biff” Lehman, age 64, of Mineral Bluff, formerly of Hollywood, Florida, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, at his home following an extended illness.

Biff was born May 15, 1957, in Hollywood, son of the late Barbara Holmes Lehman. An avid sports fan, he especially loved the Detroit Tigers and Miami Hurricanes. Biff enjoyed anything outdoors, from hunting, fishing and camping to golf, softball, and barbecues with friends, family and his Labradors. He loved to travel. If you knew him, you loved him. Biff spent 28 years in law enforcement with the Broward Sheriff’s Office before retiring to the North Georgia mountains.

He dearly loved his friends and family. Especially his wife of 26 years, Melanie Lehman. Biff was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Holmes Lehman, of Mineral Bluff; and father-in-law, Donald Ransom, of Blairsville, Georgia.

Survivors include his wife, Melanie Lehman, of Mineral Bluff; beloved nephew, David Gooch, of Hollywood; and mother-in-law, Barbara Ransom, of Blairsville. Additional family members include Bob (Peggy) Campbell, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Melissa Ransom, of Tamarac, Florida, Lauren Ransom of Dania, Florida, Donald Ransom, of Titusville, Florida, Maryann Freeman, of Blairsville, Christine DeMayo, of Port Richey, Florida; nieces and nephews, Brooke (Brandon) Buchanan, of Linden, Virginia, Robert (Amanda) Campbell, of Vista, California, Scott Campbell, of Orlando, Florida, Sam (Kristyn) Phelps, of Oakland Park, Floridia, Lacey Ransom, of Titusville, and Richie Ransom, of Tamarac; and great-nieces, Gillian Buchanan, Grayson Campbell and Bailey Buchanan.

Biff will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022, at 2 p.m. at the home of Billy and Eileen O’hara, 437 Kings Road, Blairsville, Georgia 30512.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
