The dogs at Fannin County Animal Control are more than ready for their forever homes.

All dogs taken to animal control are housed at the facility until being reclaimed or adopted.

This past week, nine dogs were taken in, and none were reclaimed or adopted.

Homeward Bound Pet Rescue, the Humane Society of Blue Ridge, Angels Among Us Rescue and Doggone Rescue all took one dog, while Souther Journey Rescue took two.

The cost to adopt varies depending on the price to either spay or neuter and vaccinate against rabies.

Volunteers are welcome to visit, walk and play with dogs at the facility during business hours.

The animal control facility is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

After those hours, officers follow up on community concerns and respond to stray calls.

More information on any of the dogs at the facility is available by giving them a call at 706-632-3845 or visiting www.petfinder.com.

Anyone who would like to make donations for improvements to the facility or for the care of the dogs may do so by visiting www.fannincountyga.com/animal-control/.

Animal Control is located at 1001 Fannin Industrial Park in Blue Ridge.
