FCMS wrestlers honored

    Three Fannin County Middle School (FCMS) wrestlers were honored last week as First Place Champions in the Mountain League, an accomplishment compared to as difficult as anything they will face in state tournament action at the high school level.

    Grayson Woody, Clay Maddox and Luke Snider were recognized by the Fannin County Board of Education for their accomplishment. The recognition came at the board’s regular meeting Thursday, February 12.

    FCMS Assistant Principal Chuck Patterson told the wrestlers of what they had accomplished, “It’s just as tough if not tougher than competing in the state tourney at the high school level.”

    Patterson is a former head wrestling coach at Fannin County High School.
