Paul David Spellins, age 57, passed away July 3, 2019, at his home in Copperhill. He was born in Hanford, California, to the late Henry Eugene and Hazel Ann Lambright Spellins. Mr. Spellins was remembered for his talent in woodworking, carpentry, craftsmanship and overall, as a “jack of all trades.” He was also remembered as a God fearing man who relentlessly demonstrated his ability to be slow to anger and quick to love. He will always be remembered for the love he shared.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Rita Snow Spellins; as well as his daughters, grandchildren and siblings. His daughters are Krista Spellins, Gina Spellins, April Spellins and Destiny Spellins; his grandchildren, who will always remember him as “Papaw,” are Destiny Spellins, Austin Spellins, Kaylie Taylor, Trinity Stuart, Luke Irons, Bo Irons, Hannah Allen, SeAnna Payne, Trent Stuart and Danny Smith; his siblings included Lonnie Spellins, Jean Ann Spellins, Brenda Mashurn and Bradley Spellins. He is also survived by many other friends and relatives, including one of his best friends who has been as close to him as a brother, Rick Westmoreland.
