Pat Harris, age 76, of Blue Ridge, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at his home.
Pat was born June 21, 1941, in Gilmer County to the late Harley Harris and the late Laura Key Harris. He had been an active member and deacon of Cherry Log Baptist Church. Pat retired from Tennessee Chemical Company after 30 years of service. He enjoyed running his John Deere tractor, cattle farming and landscaping work. He was preceded in death by siblings, Poley Haris, Edward Harris, Seaborn Harris, Othella Minnie Key and Imogene Thomas. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Linda Harris; daughter, Angie Harris; granddaughter, Paige Waddell; brother, Kenneth Harris; sister, Novella Harris Foster.
Funeral services were held Friday, February 9, 2018, at 2 p.m., at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doyle Davis and the Rev. Harold Lowery officiating. Music was provided by Marcia Cochran, His Grace, Greg and Gaela Lashley. Interment followed in Cherry Log Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Arnold Watkins, Ken Starkey, Gary Cochran, Steve Bolinger, Ron Tisdale, Larry Nichols. Honorary pallbearers were: Frank Tipton, Junior Mathis, the Rev. Joey Patterson, and deacons of Cherry Log Baptist Church.
