Ina Mae Payne, age 89, of Blairsville passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018. Mrs. Payne was born November 10, 1929, in the Wilscot section of Fannin County to Harley and Della Barnes Lee. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde Payne; her daughter, Bertha Davenport; and brother and sisters, Lawrence Lee, Dorothy Cross, Elsie Anthony and Marie Marlow.
Mrs. Payne is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wendall and Frances Payne of Blairsville; grandchildren, Christy Lance, Kenny Payne and Danny Davenport, all of Blairsville; and great grandchildren, Sydney Davenport, Christopher Lance, Tiffany Lance and Kaleb Payne.
Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 26, 2018 in the chapel of the Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville. The Rev. Steve Youngblood and The Rev. William Sisum officiating. Music was provided by “In His Name.” The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Scott Payne, Bobby Payne, William Lee, Wendall Lee, Tony Lee and Christopher Lance.
Interment followed in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery where she was laid to rest beside her husband, Clyde.
