Caleb Spencer, age 65, of Morganton, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018, at Northside Hospital Cherokee in Canton, Georgia.
He was born December 13, 1952, in Gaffney, South Carolina, to the late George Caleb Spencer and Thenia Sarrett Spencer. Caleb was a loyal Roses Store manager for 32 years. He was of the Baptist faith. Caleb was an Eagle Scout, a graduate of the University of South Carolina and enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by wife, Elaine Spencer of Morganton, Georgia; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey Myers (Michelle) and Bradley Myers (Richie) of Augusta, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Myers (Greg) of St. Petersburg, Florida; sister, Elaine Lester of Gaffney, South Carolina; nephew, Johnny Lester of Gaffney, South Carolina; eight grandchildren, Corey Myers, Justin Myers, Caitlin Myers, Breanna Myers, Brandon Myers, Justin Prunier (Annalise), Skyler Rusilko and Ryan Rusilko.
A celebration of Caleb’s life will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at 7 p.m. from the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Chaplain Bill Stodghill officiating. Eulogies are welcome by family and friends. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. until the service time of 7 p.m.
