Bettie Sue Bell
Bettie Sue Bell, age 88, of Blue Ridge, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019, at Fannin Regional Hospital. She was born December 26, 1930, in Blue Ridge to the late Curtis Deaton and Lula Bell Caldwell and was the last of 11 children.
Bettie Sue retired from the Fannin County Sheriff’s Department as an office assistant after 14 years of service under Hobert Henson. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to cook and have everyone over to eat and also enjoyed working in her flower gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Everett Bell; and sons, Boe Deaton and Larry Bell.
She was survived by her children, Rickey (Evelyn) Bell of Canton, Georgia, Suzette Johnston and Tina Moore of Blue Ridge, Gary (Mary) Bell of Gaffney, South Carolina, Sharon (Jim) McCoy of Duluth, Georgia, Pamela Deadwyler of Clinton, South Carolina, Kay (Gary) Allen of Alma, Georgia and Jodi Britt of Orlando, Florida; 15 grandchildren, Tyler Moore and Kristen Bell of Blue Ridge; numerous great grandchildren and special friend Roy Conner also survive.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, July 10, 2019, from the Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge Chapel with the Rev. Gary Bell officiating.
Interment followed in the Sugar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tyler Moore, Lonnie Moore, Roy Conner, Martin Bell, Larry Deaton and Leroy Humphreys.
