Shepherd of the Hills to hold worship service

Shepherd Of The Hills Lutheran Church will hold Holy week worship services beginning Sunday, April 9, and will continue through Sunday, April 16. 

The April 9 service begins at 10:45 a.m. and will be Palm/Passion Sunday. It will include Holy Communion, Processional and Passion, and narrative according to Matthew. 

The second service, on Thursday, April 13, at 5 p.m., will be Maundy Thursday and include Holy Communion, stripping of the altar and a sermon, “Do you know what I have done for you?” from John 13:1-17. The third service takes place on Good Friday, April 14 at 7 p.m. The theme will be “Jesus’ Final Day.” 

The clergy for the Good Friday service will be, the Rev. James Kroninger, the Rev. James Hughes, the Rev. Victor Morgan, the Rev. James Simpson and the Rev. Ronald Wikander. The final service will be held on Easter Sunday, April 16, at 10:45 a.m. It will consist of Holy Communion and a sermon, “Why are you weeping?” from John 20:1-18.
