Grace M. Newman, age 91, of Ducktown, passed away July 26, 2020, at Life Care of Copper Basin.

She was born in Turtletown to the late James Gibson and the late Emma Jane Gibson. She was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Newman worked as an X-Ray technician at Copper Basin Medical Center for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Newman; son, Bobby Robbins; and daughter, Joann Hyatt.

Survivors include her son, Larry (Dee) Robbins of Ducktown; son-in-law, Walter Hyatt of Copperhill; daughter-in-law, Linda Robbins and family of Kimberly, Idaho; sister, Elease Johnson of Cleveland, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Darren Robbins of Copperhill, Keith (Kim) Hyatt of Ducktown, Robin (Corey) Welch of Copperhill, Cristi (Matthew) Snyder of Calhoun, Tennessee, Jaime (Ryan) Pittman of Epworth, and Erica Hyatt of Copperhill; nine great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, her great-grand fury baby, Sydney, and many other friends and relatives.

Gathering of friends was Friday, July 31, 2020, at Finch-Cochran Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral services were Friday, July 31, 2020, at Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Don Padgett officiating. Interment followed at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Keith Hyatt, Ryan Pittman, Matthew Snyder, Zach Hyatt, Tommy Nelson, Robbie Dean and Cole Pittman.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home of McCaysville.
