Mrs. Ann Lanier Jones, age 76, of Mineral Bluff, passed away August 31, 2019, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Born in James City County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late George Maxwell and Metta Faye Topping Lanier. 

She worked her entire career in banking and retired in 1997 from Barnett Bank. After retiring, she and her late husband, Martin Hamilton Jones, moved to Mineral Bluff. She was very active in the community, including the Fannin County Homemakers Club and the Blue Ridge Railway Train. She, along with her husband, were also very involved with the Car Club in Blue Ridge. However, after the loss of her husband, her second family came from her membership in Beulah Chapter #21 Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Jones served as secretary for a number of years and also was a Past Worthy Matron of the Chapter.

Survivors include her three children and their spouses, Luria Messina and Patrick Messina of Kissimmee, Florida, Melvin Hamilton Jones and Diane Agnew Jones of Cleveland, Tennessee and Maxwell Harold Jones and Karen Jones of Sarasota, Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Sydney Easterling and Jim Easterling of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Damian Anthony Messina, Kathryn Marie Jones and spouse Remi Forest, Emily Ann Luria Rasinski and husband Steven Rasinski, Maxwell Hamilton Jones, Nicholas Joseph Squitieri, Zachariah Thomas Jones and wife Veronika Jones; great grandchildren, Kalista Aayla Rae Rotan and Tyler Anthony Rasinski; brother-in-law and his wife, Harold Bennett Jones Jr. and Nancy Ferguson Jones. 

Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday, October 5, 2019, at 11 a.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
